At Hunter’s Goldstrike, our mission is to breed exceptional golden retrievers responsibly in a way that embodies the breed’s temperament, beauty, health and intelligence. We are dedicated to raising puppies that are healthy and socialized within a nurturing family environment.

On the weekend of March 16th, 2025, Kylee and Maverick earned their Upland Hunter Title! This devilish duo is the youngest team to ever accomplish this within the PVHRC Club. The Upland Hunter Title was accomplished by passing 4 tests in a single weekend. We are so incredibly proud of their teamwork. CONGRATULATIONS to both Kylee and Maverick!

Congratulations to David and Stetson!

On the weekend of March 16th, 2025, David and Stetson earned their Upland Hunter Title! These two are a fantastic team that has already accomplished so much! We are always more and more impressed by the amazing work our dogs do! To add to this achievement, on June 22nd, 2025, David and Stetson earned their Hunting Retriever Champion Title! CONGRATULATIONS to both David and Stetson!

Stetson Sired a Litter!

Mac’s Kyla x Stetson

The Kyla x Stetson puppies were born on February 9, 2026

They will be going home on April 4, 2026

She had 3 males and 1 female

The photos show the Kyla x Stetson puppies at four weeks old. Each puppy is doing so wonderfully well, and we are so proud of all the work that Mac and Kyla have done! These little sweethearts have already started running and playing all around, which is just so amazing to see. They are of course also eating and resting to their little hearts’ content. We are now past the halfway point between when they were born and the go-home date for these pups! The beautiful momma dog is named Lady Kyla of Golden Paws, and has already had some wonderful puppies with us in the past. This lovely dog is an absolute sweetheart with some of the softest fur around! She is the daughter of our Amos and a female Mac has who was sired by our Striker. Kyla is on the smaller side of the normal range for golden retriever females (around 49 lbs) and is a beautiful, darker, redder-colored golden. She listens so well and always comes up to you for pets (she is very strict on her petting policy that once you start petting her, you need to continue until she says), she really likes to snuggle in the bed or on the couch, and has a great sense of play and love for life! She is really good at staying when asked to, and loves to look at you with her sweet eyes, which are so hard to say no to! Lady Kyla of Golden Paws has OFA normal hips, normal patella, and has cleared on her eyes and heart. The puppies of this litter are still being sold with the help of Hunter’s Goldstrike with our same contract and guarantee, and will be going home from our place. The puppies will be raised at Mac’s house, as she is a very experienced golden retriever caretaker and breeder, but the litter will be just like one of ours! Kyla and Stetson are sure to have some incredible puppies!

Who We Are

Hunter's Goldstrike Golden Retrievers is a small family-oriented licensed breeder of Golden Retrievers located in beautiful, colorful Colorado, about 50 miles north of Denver. Our dogs live with us on a five-acre ranch. A canal runs through it, and they enjoy running and swimming for plenty of exercise. They also enjoy getting in our truck and going to a nearby pond or river for a few marks on water or land as part of their training process. They have proved to be very eager retrievers and excel in the hunting field. They make great hunters and are excellent companions and family pets!

Our professional breeding program of golden retriever puppies consists of over 35 years of intensive work to provide top-quality puppies. They are bred for temperament and standards of the breed, and we strive for top quality and beautiful puppies! Our golden retriever pups are guaranteed for two years for eyes, hips, elbows, and hearts with a written guarantee! All our breeding dogs are cleared before we breed them. We also provide support to our puppy buyers and general advice! Raising a golden retriever pup is a big responsibility and commitment, but a wonderful experience!

When our girls were small, we got our first golden. He soon became an integral part of our family! Our first golden, Roman, was a grandson of AFC Holway Barty. He was an excellent hunter, and we didn't really have to train him. He had a lot of natural ability and was a great companion, a great hunter, obedient, and all-around a fantastic dog.

After owning this golden retriever, we were hooked on these dogs for life. We have since had several and have found the breed exceptional. Since 1990, when we bred our first litter, we have learned as much as possible about breeding and training them. Hunter's Goldstrike Golden Retrievers strives for good breeding practices, clearances, appearances, and temperament. 

Currently, we belong to the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA), which is affiliated with the American Kennel Club (AKC). 

We also belong to the Platte Valley Hunting Retriever Club and have served on the board for many years in various offices.

On June 2, 2012, Striker accomplished 1500 points and will now be in the 1500 Point Club with HRC. This is a huge accomplishment for him. We plan to do some Striker pups in the future, as we have some frozen semen on him.

These amazing heroes selflessly donate some of their blood to pet hospital emergency rooms once every 6 weeks. The blood and plasma collected from each dog’s donation can help treat sick or injured doggies, potentially saving 4 lives with a single donation! - (click here to learn more)
