Doc

Golden Retriever holding an orange rubber toy with a rope in its mouth on a sandy surface.

The Doc is in at Goldstrike

Born September 20, 2018

From when Doc was a part of our Breeding Program:

“When Doc was our up-and-coming new male, we were instantly very excited about him! He showed love for the water and for retrieving from the get-go. He had fun retrieving his bumper and showed lots of impressive athletic ability.

He was a totally new bloodline coming in for us. As you can see, he has cleared all his Genetic testing. We did what is called Embark DNA testing, which involves over 180 markers. You can see the eight major ones listed. We feel these are important to have him and our other dogs cleared on. We have also done his final hips, rated good, and elbows normal, to which he has cleared along with his eyes and heart.

The three bottom pictures below are Doc at 1 year and 4 months old. The rest are much more recent. He has a rich golden coloring with light feathering under his tail and back legs. He holds his tail proudly up high when he retrieves. He has a nicely shaped head.

Doc has proven to be very creative and intelligent, as he understands the world around him very well. He has a very good drive and a lovely, healthy appetite that allows him to have a ton of energy for playing and retrieving. However, when being around people, he is able to switch to being perfectly calm and collected, which is very nice for house dogs. Doc certainly loves his pets and ear scratches!

Whichever direction you are looking to go, Doc’s pups will surely do excellent. Whether it be hunting, training, looking beautiful, hiking, or just a best friend!

Doc is out of Kennel from the State of Washington. He has many Master Hunters ‘MH’ in his pedigree.

We have used Doc to sire several litters, and he has thrown some really nice pups!”
